New Ultrasonographic Techniques to Differentiate Hepatic Masses: Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasound and Super-Resolution Ultrasound

Contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) and super-resolution (US) are novel technologies for differentiating hepatic masses including hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Kupffer-phase imaging on Sonazoid CEUS can increase the diagnostic sensitivity HCC, facilitates early identification treatment of HCC. On other hand, US depict intratumoral vascularity without contrast enhancement, its performance identifying spoke-wheel pattern focal nodular hyperplasia is equivalent to that CEUS.
